Government Contracts Administrator

Job Description:

Metis is seeking a Government Contracts Administrator to join our team. The Contracts Administrator will provide leadership in every aspect of the contract lifecycle and use creative thinking skills to drive solutions that help solve the critical missions that Metis serves. This position will be embedded in a mission-focused operations group and responsible for activities associated with proposal development/submittal and contract management/administration with multiple contracts in their portfolio. 

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of all contract types and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. Work independently with minimal oversight, research compliance issues, interpret regulations, and formulate recommendations, using knowledge of FAR, DFAR and other Contractual regulations. Act as the primary focal for customer interface with Company during all phases of contract performance. Solve problems, develop solutions, and assist the company in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in advance planning discussions for new business pursuits.Manage teaming and non-disclosure agreements.Negotiate contracts and oversee administration to ensure compliance with Government & company policies and contractual requirements.Collaborate with Subcontracts and Purchasing personnel to ensure compliant procurement processes and appropriate flow-down provisions.Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve Contract issues.Interpret legal requirements and customer specifications.Assist during government audits and reviews.Oversee project setups and modification entries.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.5+ years of experience in Government Contract Administration/Management.In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other Agency FAR Supplements.Proven experience in generating and negotiating proposals and contracts.Cradle to grave acquisitions experience from requirement development to contract closeout.Strong ability to work under pressure; deliverables-driven mindset.Broad business acumen, including risk assessment and management.
