Mueller Water Products is seeking a Government Funding Compliance Specialist to administer the GFC (Government Funding Certification) process and ensure compliance with U.S. Governmental Regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the GFC (Government Funding Certification) process for programs such as AIS (American Iron and Steel), BAA (Buy American Act), Buy America, the Infrastructure Bill, and similar domestic sourcing funding regulations.

Guide customer service/quotes and sales on responses to customers on federal funding requirements and which products will meet the requirements.

Perform analysis of the product's Bill of Materials (BOM) to comply with state and federal domestic sourcing funding regulations.

Keep records of analysis by specific product and date, maintain an up-to-date tracking sheet with analysis. (subject to change once automatic BOM tool is fully developed.)

Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively communicate requirements, so the business continues to improve its strategy for assisting customers in receiving federal funding.

Maintain the highest standards of data integrity with all data entry and data tools used.

Acquire a thorough understanding of Mueller's business, products, components, and supply chain.

Develop in-depth knowledge of principles and processes for supporting/teaching Sales.

Education, Experience and Skills

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

3 – 5 years’ experience in sales support, customer service or engineering.

Should have strong oral and written communication skills

Should have strong skills with usage of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook and ERP software, such as Oracle, Salesforce.

Exceptional experience in Customer Sales Support or Manufacturing.

Remarkable analytical skills and business acumen.

Knowledge of U.S. Federal Government funding programs but will train the right candidate.

Possess solid organizational competencies with attention to detail, work with a sense of urgency and be customer-focused within a goal-oriented team environment.

Some travel may be required -10%
