Summary  

Ensure accountability and control of government and customer property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and maintain control of property and records through document collection and verification 

Conduct physical inventories 

Analyze and assess property records and lifecycle outcomes 

Manage disposition cases 

Review contracts for closeout verifications 

Experience collaborating effectively across multiple functional areas 

Prepare for audits through record retrieval and reporting 

Interface with various departments, including Supply Chain, Program Management, Contracts, and Material Management to resolve complex property issues. 

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite application 

Excellent written and spoken communication skills 

JIRA platform operation experience preferred, but not required 

 

Qualifications and  

Moderate computer proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) 

Knowledge of government policies, with particular emphasis on the FAR 52. 245-1 and other FAR and DFARS property policies. 

Must be able to obtain a security clearance 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related discipline. 

Two (2) years of related work experience in government property accounting, management, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Must be proficient in Costpoint or other related Record Management System 

Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work 

Ability to maintain accurate documentation. 

Must be able to receive and process customer material/property to ensure accuracy and functionality 

Must be able to process and ship orders, utilizing FEDEX shipping process 

Ability to operate computer to input and retrieve data accurately 

Ability to operate material handling equipment to include pallet jacks, lifts, and other automated and non-automated equipment. 

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a training device 

Ability to perform physical tasks as necessary which may include bending, squatting, reaching, moderate lifting, and moderate carrying 

Must be able to run and process periodic Inventory Control Reports, preferably on quarterly basis. 

Any National Property Management Association (NPMA) or equivalent certifications preferred, but not required. 

Ability to perform physical tasks as necessary which may include bending, squatting, reaching, moderate lifting, and moderate carrying 

Experience working directly with DCMA and DCAA during government property audits 

Preferred Skills  

 

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)  _Certified/Experience 

Government property knowledge 

Security Responsibilities  

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.   

 Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.  

 

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.  

 

Work Environment  

Able to work in a warehouse environment. 

Able to work to a flexible schedule and overtime as required. 

Some travel may be required to assist with certain projects. 

 

Physical Demands  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   

Ability to operate a personal computer.   

Communicate via e-mail/telephone.   

Ability to work overtime as required. 

Must be able to lift 35 lbs. 

Ability to see clearly at close range.
