The Government Relations Analyst provides administrative and logistical support and ensures the smooth functioning of the team, including maintaining processes, systems, communications, and information tailored to the unique needs of the team.
+ This role is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ **Legislative Monitoring and Research** : Monitors, tracks, researches, and reports on legislative issues and actions for state and federal government affairs initiatives through review of testimony, hearings, floor debates, and bills on the state and federal levels. This work may also include Internet research, social media monitoring, reviewing newspapers, and online services for items of interest.
+ **Action Plan Management** : Manages the execution and coordination of state legislative action plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines, and keeping all stakeholders informed and on track.
+ **Communication Support** : Prepares, reviews, and edits legislative updates for internal and external communications. Supports the dissemination of grassroots communications on state and federal legislative issues through internal tools, social media, and other advocacy tools, ensuring all materials comply with communications and marketing policies.
+ **Analytics and Record Keeping** : Runs reports, updates spreadsheets, and maintains precise records including action plan, advocacy, and communication analytics.
+ **Event Coordination** : Assists in meeting management, including developing and preparing materials, sending invitations, coordinating logistics, and other associated tasks for events such as conference calls, webinars, Advocacy Day, Advocacy Summit, and other GR-related meetings.
+ **Special Projects** : Assists staff with special projects as needed.
+ **Leadership Participation** : Participates in leadership-related activities and meetings.
+ Performs other related duties and activities as required.
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ At least 3 years of experience in government relations, advocacy, or a related field. Project management experience is highly desirable.
+ Experience with Smartsheets is a plus.
+ A high work standard

+ Be adept at setting priorities and anticipating needs
