Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) is a global leader in Multimedia integrated circuits (ICs), software and systems for wireless consumer devices including Smartphones, Netbooks and E-readers. Our teams are developing advanced technologies to enhance mobile devices in areas including 2D and 3D graphics, audio/video, display and architecture. These Multimedia ASICS are co-designed with our Modems, Applications Processors, Analog Codecs and Power Management ICs to deliver highly-integrated, high-performance and low-cost chipsets to our customers and partners. You will be implementing the industry's leading edge graphics processor, specific areas include 2D and 3D graphics, streaming processor, high speed IO interface and bus protocols.

In this position, the designer will be responsible for architecture and micro-architecture design of the ASIC, RTL design and synthesis, logic and timing verification. Complex IP level integration is also a requirement in this position.  Strong communication skills and working with various technical disciplines such as software, power, and design teams is required.  The successful candidate for this position will specify and design digital blocks in our Multimedia Graphics team that will be integrated into a broad range of devices. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.Required strong design experience with background in SoC and/or IP level integration of design blocksRTL expertise (Verilog / SystemVerilog) with ability to qualify the RTL with frontend design tools such as Lint & CDCExperience in Logic design/micro-architecture/RTL coding is a mustStrong understanding of multi clock design conceptsFamiliarity with low power designExperience in functional ECO implementationExperience in Synthesis and understanding of timing concepts for ASICs Strong leadership and communication skills are required when coordinating critical tasks in a team environmentExpect good self-direction and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years industry experience in one or more of the following areas: -Familiarity with AMBA protocols - AXI, AHB, APB, clocking/reset/debug architectureExpertise in scripting languages such as Python and Perl to improve automation Ability to work in a team environment. GPU and/or multimedia IP development experience is a plus.

PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$161,800.00 - $242,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
