EDSL 254 - Second Professional Seminar (TESL)

Course Description: 

Education in Second Languages : The course aims to develop basic practices in planning and teaching in ESL classrooms at the elementary and secondary levels, including reflective analysis. Professional portfolios and professional competencies will be addressed.

$17.75 CAD  

  

Position Summary:  

This requisition is for one (1) position, at 45 hours for the term, in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education for Summer 2025.   

Course dates are May 6, 2025 to May 22, 2025. 

Effective dates of appointment are May 5, 2025 to June 6, 2025. 

  

Posting Timeline (14 days): February 24, 2025 – March 10, 2025

Responsibilities may include:  

-Marks assignments and exams following set guidelines: 

Completes grading keys and provides detailed feedback.

Completes grading by specific deadline. 

Maintains records of grades by entering them into MyCourses and/or excel files.  

-The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent.  

-Attending classes (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:35 pm to 8:25 pm)  

  

Qualifications:  

A PhD or Master’s degree related to the course/faculty, and currently enrolled at McGill.  

Knowledge and experience of course content.  

Ability to grade in French and English is an asset.  

DISE and McGill students will have priority.
