Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Graduate to join our Urban Solutions team in Brisbane.

 

Hatch’s Urban Solutions is an award-winning practice of urban designers, architects, planners, and place makers at the forefront of shaping the future of cities. Together with our clients, we envision great places that create positive change. The role will provide a diverse range of project types ranging from stand-alone complex buildings to the design of large new residential and mixed-use communities. Our highly specialised place-led planning and design practice is centred around getting great development built.

 

Our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to answer some of the most complex questions regarding the future of our cities, challenge the status quo and create positive change for our clients, our employees, and the communities we serve. We place collaboration above all else – it drives the way we service our clients and create alliances with our co-consultants, and pride ourselves on fostering a happy, inclusive and collegiate team environment. You will be working primarily within our Brisbane team but collaborating across our national network of studios based in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
 
As the successful candidate, you will be: 

Passionate about the built environment and the delivery of sustainable communities A versatile designer who can work across a range of project scales and has a creative aptitude for resolving complex and technical challenges. A good communicator (verbal, graphic and written) A collaborator who thinks laterally and innovatively to solve problems Driven and achievement orientated Enjoys working in a diverse team environment Someone who finds satisfaction in creating positive change

Specific role requirements: 

Working toward or possess masters qualifications in architecture, or urban design, (essential) with a period of practical experience in a design related position A strong understanding of architecture, urban design and built form with a eye for detail Excellent design and graphic communication skills Strong skills using REVIT, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, SketchUp, and ability to learn Lumion / Twinmotion - Candidates may be asked in the interview to display technical knowledge Current right to live and work in Australia (i.e permanent residency or citizenship)
