AMZL: As an up-and-coming leader, you will be prepared for your new role as a manager in our 8-week internal academy.
After the extensive onboarding, you'll take on your own team and ensure our customers receive their orders on time and in good quality. As an up-and-coming leader you will also be supported in developing people management skills either with your leading team, and with your managers and other stakeholders. In this position, you'll be an important part of our global company, working hand-in-hand with your local team members at a logistics site. You'll also collaborate across sites on topics like workplace safety, process optimization, sustainability, and technological progress.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading and training a team (up to 100 employees)
- Planning and controlling internal processes
- Deriving recommendations for action and specific measures for process improvement based on metrics such as workplace safety, productivity, and quality
- Collaborating with on-site upstream and downstream departments
- Participating in overarching projects to optimize customer satisfaction
- Effective resource and workflow management
- Ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations and environmental protection
A day in the life
You'll work in one of our shifts (early, late, or night). Ensuring safety standards at your entire site is your top priority. As a shift manager, you'll routinely conduct team meetings and provide feedback to your employees and stakeholders. Using data analysis, you'll influence the productivity and quality of your site. As an important local team member, you'll collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure we meet our customers' requirements and our own standards. By analyzing data with leaders and discussing the operational benefits and drawbacks of technical improvements with subject matter experts.
