Pennoni is hiring! Pennoni is looking for passionate Staff Bridge Engineers to join our collaborative, fun team on a full time, direct basis in Pennoni’s Transportation Desing Hub located in our Newark, DE office with experience consistent, but not limited to:

 

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to 3-D modelling of transportation infrastructure projects while utilizing tools like MicroStation / OpenRoads. Contribute to the developing sets of Transportation plans (including highway design, hydrology & drainage calculations / design, SWM / E&SC design; water & sanitary sewer utility layout, MOT plans & geometry, etc.). Support projects/tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients (including DelDOT, SHA, and other agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region for locally-administered transportation projects). Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

 

Required Attributes:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related technical discipline).

Preferred Qualifications:

F.E. / E.I.T.  Exposure to working with highway and/or roadway design is strongly preferred. Exposure to engineering / CADD tools; experience with Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and/or ProjectWise (PW) is a plus. Exposure to working with drainage design, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control; completion of Certified Construction Review (CCR) training is a plus. Exposure to developing project cost estimates and specifications (including Special Provisions). Exposure to Bluebeam Revu (PDF editor) and/or GIS tools is a plus. GIS experience a plus Strong analytical skills. Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy. Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
