Job Summary
This role suits someone who is looking to do something different every day and is not afraid to drive their own destiny. They should be self-motivated, have an openness to learn and be dynamic in the way they approach the role. The ideal candidate will join an experienced team in a junior role and will be given all the support and training that they’ll need to succeed. We’ll teach them how to negotiate, how to read a contract, and how to close a deal. They will also play a part in the development of reports and so someone who is analytical would be a good fit.
The successful candidate could be purchasing anything at all that could be used internally within a business: products, services, subscriptions, and ongoing maintenance across all categories: IT, Marketing, Facilities, HR, eCommerce, etc. They’ll also be a part of a team who administers the purchase-to-pay (P2P) system across the organisation and in turn will mix with all areas and with people at all levels. This is a great role for someone at the start of their professional journey.

Your role will include:
Procurement of indirect commodity products, goods, and support services for Avnet,Work with Avnet stakeholders to ensure end-to-end processes are in place to control, manage and report on supply agreements and renewals,Build and leverage relationships with supply chain partners to drive Continuous Improvement,Drive cost savings and efficienciesAdministration of Purchase to Pay (P2P) systemLeverage best value with suppliers across all categories, contributing to cost optimisation targets,Delivering regional reporting,Run or support tender / RFx processes as required,Support the IP team where required, often at short noticeWhat About You?
