Graduate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role within our Maintenance Team, assisting the operational staff with maintenance scheduling, plant improvement projects, root cause analysis of failures and plant performance reporting.

 

Duties

Review Breakdown Events and Determine Root Causes & Preventative Actions/ Upgrades Generate, Review & Modify Maintenance Plans as required by the Operations Team Scope Potential Continuous Improvement Projects & Present to the Management Team Assist in Maintenance team with Scheduling & Scoping of Plant Shutdowns Assist Production & Maintenance Staff with Purchase Orders & Requisitions Undertake Monthly Critical Spares Inventory Stock Takes Generate Monthly Plant Performance Reports that include plant KPIs - Reliability, Availability, Specific Energy Costs etc. Any other duties as required.

 

Skills and Experience

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Ability to understand and generate drawings Experience working within a continuous manufacturing environment Experience using a computerised Maintenance Management Systems Experience undertaking Maintenance Activities in a Heavy Industry Environment Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
