A Graduate Nurse Worker is a nursing graduate from an accredited nursing program, approved by the Board of Registered Nursing in California, who have completed their senior bedside/clinical preceptorship experience at Cedars-Sinai. They provide basic nursing care in an effective and safe manner to a select group of patients and families, carries out established nursing regimes, and plans of nursing care under the mentorship of a preceptor or other designated Registered Nurse.
The scope of responsibility, duties and accountability at the facility department and position levels including knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skills vital to the position consistent with the Nurse Practice Act. Nursing job duties are to meet the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, Article 2 Section 2732.1 The Joint Commission and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Education: Graduated from an Accredited Baccalaureate or Masters-Entry Level Professional Pre-licensure Nursing Program that has an affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.Experience: Enrolled in pre-licensure BRN state approved and accredited program. Must have completed a minimum of 90 hours in their senior clinical experience at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.Certification: Current and active Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association/American Red Cross.
