Graduate Nursing Program Assistant

The Graduate Nursing Program Assistant plays a crucial role in coordinating the daily operations of the Graduate Nursing Program. This position ensures adherence to established policies and procedures in Graduate Nursing, following past precedents and receiving guidance from the Graduate Associate Dean. The assistant supports graduate students' poster needs, and provides support for various graduate program events, including hooding ceremonies, admissions processes, service activities, and special events. The role involves handling certification and graduation requirements, coordinating national testing support, and implementing processes for certification-related issues. The assistant also collaborates with the Graduate Associate Dean to maintain compliance records and facilitates the coordination of Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure processes with the Tennessee Board of Nursing (TN BON) and other state licensing agencies.

Graduate Nursing Program & Associate Dean Support: Coordinate the daily operations of the Graduate Nursing Program, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and directives from the Associate Dean.Graduate Program Events: Support various graduate program events, including hooding ceremonies, admissions processes, service activities, and special events.Compliance Record Management: Assist the Graduate Associate Dean in maintaining records related to compliance and coordinate the NP licensure process with the TN BON and other state licensing agencies.Licensure (NP) and Graduation Requirements: Support students with licensure and certification issues and ensure compliance with licensure and certification and graduation requirements. Coordinate national testing support and assist with the implementation of related processes.Collaborate with Clinical Compliance Program Assistant: Collaborate with the Clinical Compliance Program Assistant to facilitate clinical compliance requirements for graduate nursing students and faculty.Communication: Prepare and send information to students and faculty as assigned by the Graduate Nursing faculty & administration.Academic Department Collaboration: Collaborate with academic departments to facilitate preparation for registration, including course availability and scheduling.Midterm Deficiency Tracking: Track midterm deficiencies and generate letters of concern, communicating with students and providing necessary support.Course Progression/Dismissal Letters: Generate and distribute course progression/dismissal letters to communicate students' academic status and progress; oversee the readmission and appeal process.Banner Responsibilities: Create courses offered; input data related to course dates, times, credits, faculty workload, and percent responsibility each semester in a timely fashion.DIG Responsibilities: Link and confirm courses with accurate faculty; publish evaluations each semester in a timely fashion.Poster Printing Support: Provide poster printing needs for graduate students, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
