Who we are?

 

Our role in Service Market Logistics is to keep society running. We make sure that food gets to the grocery store, hospitals have electricity, and that people can commute to work. We ensure spare parts are available when they are needed in a sustainable network of 5,000 suppliers, 3,000 dealers and 40 distribution centers. We develop, manage, and optimize the aftermarket supply chain for all Volvo Group brands.

The SML LMEA Transport team manages outbound flows from the Central Distribution Center to worldwide dealers. Digitalization and CO2 emission reduction are key domains where we need to act now. Our team is actively contributing to Volvo's journey to become a worldclass sustainable transport solution provider.

 

 

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

 

Lead the change on Sustainability and be a Sustainability Advocate: Take ownership of shaping and driving our Sustainability Roadmap—aiming for an ambitious 30% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025 and 50% by 2030. Be at the forefront of impactful environmental change. You'll play a key role in influencing change

 

Empower and Inspire: Work closely with colleagues to train, coach, and propose initiatives that increase awareness of key drivers to reduce transport CO2 emissions. Your leadership will help spark a culture of sustainability across the organization.

 

Foster Knowledge Sharing: Be the go-to expert for Transport and Sustainability, supporting knowledge development across LMEA departments. You'll contribute to creating a forward-thinking, collaborative environment.

 

Innovate with Technology: Spearhead the deployment of the Transport Management System (TMS)—ensure smooth data integration, usage, and optimization to improve transport efficiency and sustainability.

 

Drive Cross-Functional Innovation: Lead and participate in cutting-edge, cross-functional projects focused on transport, sustainability, and decarbonation—pioneering new solutions for a greener future.

 

Analyze & Optimize: Dive into data to identify opportunities for CO2 emission reductions and increased productivity within the transport sector. Your insights will directly impact our sustainability goals.

Who You Are:

 

You’re Master Degree graduated during past 2 years in supply chain school or business school with ideally a specialization in Supply Chain – Transport optimization You are eager to work with data management and skilled in developing with Power BI or other data management tool You have demonstrated leadership capabilities and you’ve had experience or a strong passion for Project Management You like teamwork you love collaborating and have a natural ability to bring people together. You know how to federate teams around a common goal, making teamwork a key strength

You are fluent in English
