Must demonstrate the clinical ability to work as Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned.
Must be able to coordinate the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates inpatient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.
Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree Required within 90 days of hire.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and function as a member of the multidisciplinary team.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions.Adheres to the standards of nursing care, patient safety guidelines and policies of the hospital.Certification / LicenseBLS Required Within 30 days (If ACLS is current, BLS is not required).ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required within 6 months of hire.Competencies:NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
