Your role and responsibilities

As an intern or graduate student at ABB, you will have the opportunity to participate in realizing the automated management of an internal system configuration consisting of physical servers, work-stations and virtual machines and associated network infrastructure. The management and maintenance of this complete configuration is currently done manually and we use various unrelated Office documents.For this graduation project, we are looking for a student to help us automate these processes and manage the system assets. Examples include:-\tRequesting new virtual machines via tooling, creating the virtual machines automatically.-\tAutomatically notifying requestors that their usage period is about to expire.-\tAutomatically removing virtual machines based on a preset end date. -\tAutomating asset management of both hardware and virtual machines.-\tDeveloping dashboards that provide insight into usage and users.This is a basic concept that can be further developed and realized as part of the graduation assign-ment.The challenge lies mainly in researching/realizing technical solutions for a user-friendly and efficient (minimizing human intervention) management system.

Qualifications for the role

For this role, we are looking for a proactive and inquisitive intern who:-\tYour follows study aligns with the assignment. -\tHas experience or can quickly gain knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare and the like.-\tIs looking for a technically oriented graduate internship-\tA wait-and-see attitude does not suit you, as you like to take the initiative yourself.-\tFeels at home in a professional technological environment in which you are able to work inde-pendently and accurately.-\tCommunicates in both Dutch and English
