Principal Accountabilities: 

Perform daily operations of the facility safely, efficiently and profitablyPerform facility operations such as receiving and shipping of seed, fertilizer and chemicalEnsure proper handling and storage of seed and crop inputs productsPerform basic maintenance and operator care of equipmentMaintain inventory records, perform counts and investigate discrepanciesProvide excellent customer service and engage with team membersCoordinate operations, support sales and customer service activitiesAdministrate transactions for shipping, receiving and customer paymentsCollaborate with the Sales and Agronomy team to execute on customer sales and product forecastingPortray a professional image, both personally and throughout the locationLiaison with internal and external supplier contactsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentUnderstand and adhere to all safety rules and regulationsLead safety related activities for the facility: safety training, maintain regulatory and compliance requirementsConduct regular site inspections, hold monthly safety meetings with staff to review procedures and safety awareness issuesOther duties as assigned under the direction of the Retail Manager and Plant Manger

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaMust be 18 years or olderAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Basic use of a computerAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Must possess a valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment and be able to safely operate a 5 ton delivery van

Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance noticeBasic mechanical aptitude
