In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses. * REPORTS TO:* General Manager *STATUS:* Non-Exempt * _PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_* The Grain Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the grain industry, including operations, logistics, marketing, and customer service. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the grain supply chain, from sourcing and storage to sales and distribution. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* * Assist in daily grain operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping grain. * Monitor grain quality and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. * Work with the logistics team to coordinate grain movement and transportation. * Support customer service efforts by communicating with producers and buyers. * Contribute to grain marketing activities, including price tracking and market analysis. * Learn and assist with inventory management and grain handling equipment. * Participate in special projects as assigned by the management. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* * Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply. * Follows Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply. * Comply with the uniform policy and uphold a professional appearance. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* * Educations and Experience* * Currently enrolled in an agricultural, business, or related field. * Strong interest in the grain industry and supply chain management. * Basic understanding of agricultural markets and commodity trading is a plus. * Functional Competencies* * Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor. * High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels. * Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner. * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates. * High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information. * Core Competencies* Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. * Other Requirements* * Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. * Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others. * Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands. * Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements. * Physical Demands* * _Lifting/Carrying_** _Frequency_ _Pushing/Pulling_ _Frequency_* Under 10 lbs.
