Description We are looking for an experienced Grant Accountant/GL Accountant to support a contract in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling grant-related financial activities, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines, and supporting budget preparations. This is a two-month contract position requiring onsite work two days a week. Responsibilities: • Reconcile grant allocations to ensure they are assigned to the appropriate expense accounts and codes. • Investigate outstanding expenses and process reclassifications as necessary. • Review reclassified funds against grant budgets to verify compliance with funding requirements. • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze grant expenditures and provide necessary financial insights. • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for grant-related transactions. • Utilize Intacct software to manage and streamline grant accounting processes. • Provide support during audits by preparing detailed reconciliations and reports. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in grant accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in Intacct software with advanced-level capabilities. • Strong knowledge of expense allocation and reclassification processes. • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with grant funding guidelines. • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
