The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role. What you get to do every single day - Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease - Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable - Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation - Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting - Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request Requirements - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - Solid understanding of financial reporting - Knowledge of non-profit fund accounting - Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to meet deadlines - Proficient in ERP systems - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required - Recent and relevant accounting experience - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
