Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant in the Education - University sector, based in San Francisco, California. As a Grant Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, including grant administration, auditing, and budgeting processes. Responsibilities: • Execute grant administration tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards • Utilize Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate financial records • Manage cash activity and capital, contributing to the financial health of the organization • Conduct auditing tasks, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all financial transactions • Leverage Bloomberg Terminal and ADP - Financial Services tools for efficient financial management • Handle budget processes, contributing to financial planning and resource allocation • Maintain and update Banner Ads, ensuring accurate and timely information is available • Perform various accounting functions as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the financial department. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of grant accounting. • Proficiency in using Abila MIP. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services. • Ability to construct and monitor Banner Ads. • Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal operation. • Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions. • Proven skills in Auditing procedures. • Experience in managing Budget Processes. • Understanding of Capital Management principles. • Ability to handle Cash Activity. • Experience in Grant Administration.
