Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a part-time Grant Accountant in the financial services industry, located in Washington, New Jersey. The workplace will involve using various accounting software systems, including Abila MIP and Bloomberg Terminal, and will require a strong understanding of various accounting functions and capital management. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage and handle all grant-related accounting functions • Utilize the Abila MIP and other accounting software systems for financial operations • Oversee cash activities and ensure proper capital management • Perform regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance • Participate in budget processes, providing insights and recommendations • Operate ADP - Financial Services for payroll and other financial services • Utilize Banner Ads and other tools for financial reporting and analysis • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all financial transactions • Respond to financial inquiries and provide necessary information • Collaborate with other team members to achieve financial objectives. Requirements • Proficiency in using Abila MIP is necessary for managing accounts and financial data. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems to ensure efficient management of financial records. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required for managing payroll and other financial services. • Knowledge of Banner Ads will be beneficial for promoting grant opportunities. • Ability to use Bloomberg Terminal for accessing financial data and news. • Expertise in Accounting Functions such as general ledger, accounts payable and receivable. • Experience in Auditing to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. • Understanding of Budget Processes for planning, tracking, and managing grant funds. • Proficiency in Capital Management to oversee grant fund allocation and utilization. • Experience in managing Cash Activity including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers related to grant funds.
