**A Brief Overview**
Provides pre-award and post-award grant administrative support for grants and sub-awards that have been awarded to Avera in collaboration with Avera partner facilities and/or non-affiliated grant partners. Performs pre-award administrative activities in conjunction with Principal Investigators and project staff to review and ensure materials and processes adhere to proposal submission guidelines. Works collaboratively with Avera's grant compliance team to ensure compliance of all Federal and non-federal awards to the Avera system with the applicable Federal regulations and funding agency auditing standards. Develops and maintains workflow processes that comply with the applicable regulations of the award. Coordinates and provides education to the Avera facility staff to ensure facility compliance with grant award requirements.
**What you will do**
+ Performs pre-award administrative activities in conjunction with Principal Investigators and project staff to research funding prospecting activity, review and adhere to proposal submission guidelines, online grant systems, preparing proposal approval forms, preparing and maintaining documents for submission packages, preparing just-in-time requests while meeting overlapping deadlines in support of both internal and external grant submissions.
+ Coordinates the completion of budgets and budget justifications with the Principal Investigators and project staff and the Avera Rural Health Grant Fiscal staff.
+ Functions as the primary point of contact to Principal Investigators and project staff and assisting with updating biosketches and other supporting documents, completing progress reports and any other reports required by funders.
+ Assists with the development and enforcement of sponsored research and grant policies and procedures.
+ Coordinates requests for financial information from sponsors and financial status reports and resolve Uniform Guidance Monitored Cost issues.
+ Collaborates with the Avera Grant Fiscal team in the development, implementation and management of the financial management process of grant awards to ensure requirements stated in the grant contract or notice of award, guidance and/or assurances are followed per the direction of the agreements and state and federal law which includes the ability to analyze and interpret grant award terms and conditions; complex contracts; allowable costs; budget revisions; cost-sharing; equipment justifications and reporting requirements.
+ Develops and maintains grant processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, develops and provides grant compliance education to the appropriate representatives throughout the Avera System.
+ Consults with facility, department administrative personnel and program managers on issues that may impact the administration of the project and assist in the development of the project business and sustainability plan.
+ Maintains internal grant reporting tools and databases, distribute, present and consult grant reports to appropriate stakeholders.
+ Maintains external grant portal registrations such as eRA Commons, Grant Solutions and any other grant portals required by funding agencies.

**Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Bachelor's in healthcare, business, social sciences, English or journalism, political science or education. Or combination of education and experience.
**Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ 1-3 years Experience in grant and contract administration
+ Experience with reporting portals such as eRA Commons, ASSIST, Grant Solutions
