Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Grant Coordinator - Fort Pierce, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating sponsored research activities for HBOI by working directly with Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Managers (PMs) to prepare and submit budgets for grant proposals and to monitor the budget of awards.

Duties include budget analysis, budget preparation, budget maintenance, account reconciliation, determination and implementation of policies and procedures relating to sponsored programs, interpretation of grant documents to assure departmental compliance, and liaison with funding agencies and University offices.

Responsible for timely preparation of purchase requisitions, authorization of payment of invoices, submitting spend authorizations, preparing expense reimbursements, tracking monitoring Time and Effort, and related matters.

Monitor awards and end dates.

Prepare Cost Allocations for externally funded faculty and staff.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Valid Florida Driver's License required.


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Experience with grant/contract proposal development, budgeting, grant/contract award accounting and monitoring, or project management.

Ability to work independently, plan and organize work efficiently and accurately, communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

The ability to exercise independent judgment, work under pressure, manage multiple relationships and priorities along with a high level of professionalism and dependability.

Experience in higher education, research or non-profit organization.

Salary:

$65,000 - $71,000 per year.
