This role will be exclusively post award. The selected individual will be assigned to report on awarded grants that have already been received. Reporting will be to private and government agencies not limited to the City of St. Louis, and the States of WI, IL and OK.
Job Summary:
Responsible for generating restricted and unrestricted grant funding. Identifies government and non-government grant opportunities, completing applications and executing on all reporting requirements. Develops and implements a plan to achieve all funding goals set forth in annual finance budget and long-range plans. Establishes relationships with private foundations, medical associations and corporations. Undertakes research; develops grant proposals; designs, implements and supervises systems for grants tracking and reporting; cultivates staff and volunteer interest and competence in grantsmanship to support services, programs and research. Manages all aspects of donor acknowledgment to ensure timely, excellent donor stewardship and accuracy.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Raises funds to meet the budgeted goals for each fiscal year. Develops and implements plan to achieve new restricted and unrestricted grant revenue goals. Identifies and recommends appropriate grant opportunities and strategies. Act as representative to develop support from grant makers.Targets and cultivates prospective funders to maximize success rate in securing grants. Provide tours and site visits as needed. Explores new opportunities for funding and developing appropriate cultivation plan.Provides information on an ongoing basis to leadership team on trends in grant making, current and upcoming grant opportunities and grant development status.Develop appropriate relationships with government, corporate and private foundation funders to ensure awareness of funding opportunities and time frames. Coordinate requests to corporations in relationship with major gifts program. Writes proposals and correspondences for solicitation of funds.Develops fundable programs in responses to various Requests for Proposals. Prepare funding requests and grant applications for submittal by deadlines. Prepares grant amendments and adjusted budgets, when appropriate.Ensure that donors are appropriately acknowledged. Keep foundations and corporations informed regarding developments with programs they support as well as overall success stories.Undertake research; develop grant proposals; design, implement and supervise systems for grants tracking and reporting; cultivate staff and volunteer interest and competence in grantsmanship to support agency programs and services. Develop and maintain up-to-date, online grant resources. Ensures compliance with terms and conditions of grant awards.Facilitating assistance of volunteers participating in grants fundraising activity.Develop correspondence (reports, letters, etc.), handling inquiries and responses. Prepares and provides reports to funders in a timely manner. Reviews and routes contracts.Supervises and develops direct reports. Conducts performance reviews.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION
