The Communications and Storytelling Specialist for the Belmont Formation Collaborative plays a pivotal role in amplifying the Collaborative’s mission to cultivate holistic formation across Belmont University. This individual will develop and execute strategic communication plans that reflect the Collaborative’s values, engage various stakeholder groups, and elevate the visibility of its initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Lead strategic communication and storytelling - Shape and implement integrated communication strategies that reflect the Belmont Formation Collaborative’s mission, values, and vision. Develop compelling narratives that highlight the impact of formation initiatives and ensure consistent, resonant messaging across diverse stakeholder groups. Collaborate with internal and external partners to amplify the Collaborative’s voice and elevate its visibility within the university community.
2. Create and manage content across platforms - Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for digital platforms, newsletters, print materials, and presentations. Oversee the Collaborative’s online presence, including website updates and social media engagement, while curating stories, testimonials, and visuals that embody the mission, vision, and values of the Collaborative. Ensure all content aligns with the Collaborative’s brand and strategic goals.
3. Facilitate internal communications and collaboration - Serve as communications liaison between the Collaborative and other university departments to foster alignment and synergy. Prepare internal reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates that communicate progress, insights, and strategic direction. Build relationships across campus to support a cohesive and informed approach to holistic formation.
4. Support events and initiatives through communications - Develop promotional materials and coordinate messaging for events, workshops, and initiatives. Capture post-event stories and reflections that communicate the value and impact of these initiatives. Partner with university marketing and communications teams to maximize reach and engagement, ensuring that formation-related programming is well-supported and widely shared.
