Through monthly multilingual editathons and partnerships with cultural institutions, libraries, museums, universities, and international organizations including the United Nations, they have sensitized thousands about free culture crowdsourcing and worked to close multicultural and gender gaps in Wikipedia. They hold regular events globally and welcome participants of all experience levels.

Why does this role exist?
We are seeking a Grant Writing & Research Specialist to strengthen our client's funding strategy and expand their financial resources. This role is crucial for maintaining existing grant relationships through timely renewals while identifying and securing new funding opportunities. The position will enable our client to build sustainable funding streams that support their mission of increasing diverse participation in free knowledge movements and closing multicultural gaps in digital spaces.

The Impact you’ll makeGrant Renewal Management \nAssist with annual grant renewal applications\nRefresh and improve existing multi-year grants\nEnsure timely submission of all materials by March deadlines\nTrack and manage grant renewal calendar\nGrant Writing & Development \nRefine and enhance grant proposals with strong writing skills\nIncorporate feedback from stakeholders into grant applications\nMake strategic revisions to improve funding success\nMaintain consistent organizational voice across proposals\nFunding Research & Expansion \nIdentify new grant opportunities of various sizes\nResearch potential funders and their priorities\nAlign application strategies with funder interests\nBuild a diversified funding pipeline\nBudget Development (Optional) \nAssist in creating budgets for grant applications\nDevelop an understanding of financial terminology\nEnsure budget alignment with programmatic goals\nCollaborate with leadership on financial planning\n
