Our Grant Accountants primarily assist County divisions to interpret and comply with administrative grant rules in order to achieve compliant Single Audit results. Essential Functions + Demands the ability to take initiative, operate independently as well as be a member of a team, exercise judgment to seek supervision and/or input from others when necessary, and be able to thrive in a multi-tasking environment. + Demands technology proficiency in usage of electronic financial and file systems, pivot tables in Microsoft Excel. + One should demonstrate competencies in excellent interpersonal skills with strong orientation toward diplomacy, tact, compassion, collaboration, and teamwork. + One should be organized, detail-oriented and accurate. + Prepares written communications with clearly organized thoughts, translating grantor requirements into business language; shares acquired information or knowledge; discusses alternatives; and addresses problem/conflict situations. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required. + One (1) year of related experience preferred. Candidates without a related degree should possess four (4) years of related experience. + Fingerprinting required. Supplemental information + Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications. + Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency.
