Grants and Contract Administrator (R25-03)
Location: Albany, NY Category: Research Foundation Careers Posted On: Wed Feb 5 2025 Job Description: Description of Duties: The Grant and Contract Administrator will provide financial administration of awarded grants and corporate sponsored programs, and support for grants and contracts received by the Research Foundation for SUNY at University at Albany, specifically in support of the NYS Center for Advanced Technology in Nanomaterials and Nanoelectronics (CATN2) and NYS Center of Excellence in Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology (CENN). Duties include, but are not limited to: becoming familiar with the CATN2 and CENN awards and programs; review and approval of expenditure requests and purchase orders; monitoring and processing of cost share requirements and expenditure transactions; insure accurate allocation of labor distribution; establishment and accurate maintenance of accounts in business system and files; assist in coordination of account closeout processes; preparation of reports for sponsors; serve as liaison with UAlbany finance and sponsored program staff; monitoring budgets; regular communication with finance and sponsored program staff regarding status of grants and contracts; preparation of audit materials; and working closely with staff to provide financial analysis for sponsored funds programs, corporate partnership programs, and service and facility centers. The position will utilize ORACLE financial software to prepare financial reports, develop cost recovery models to ensure project costs are recovered. This position will also use Salesforce to create and maintain data bases to support various reporting needs including expenditure analysis, sponsor financial reports, and personnel related statistics. Other reasonable duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: + Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in business, science, or related field from college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. + Applicants should have one to two years' experience in a similar position. + Applicants must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, have strong organization and communication skills, and display the ability and willingness to make independent decisions. + Applicants must have experience with Microsoft Office or an equivalent software suite. + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community. + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging, relative to their role. Preferred Qualifications: + Previous experience with Oracle. + Previous experience with Salesforce.
