Grants Compliance Analyst

Johnson Service Group is recruiting a Grants Compliance Analyst for a great client of ours in Sarasota Fl. This is a 100% on site role in Sarasota, FL. It is a 6 month contract with the opportunity for extensions.
****Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder**** Under general direction, the purpose of the position is to perform professional coordination and compliance review of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with generally accepted standard accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory
requirements applicable to Federal and State grants. This position is responsible for the audit and
analysis of complex reimbursement and payment requests to ensure compliance with state law,
related to Federal and State grant programs. Work as part of a team providing support disaster recovery and mitigation efforts, focusing on QA/QC of housing and other program activities. Audit payment requests for compliance with program requirements, including participants eligibility, scopes of work, contractor invoices and reimbursement requests packages. Review and verify milestone inspection documentation is complete and consistent with
the project scope and in compliance with program requirements. Ensure all programmatic documentation has been supplied and is in the system of record. Knowledge of grants regulatory requirements, cost principles and audit requirements for
federal, state and local grants programs. Prepares and documents processes, procedures, checklists, etc. Develops strong relationships with business partners and departments. Serves as a liaison between County departments and Accounts Payables. Support and assist colleagues with any questions on the processing of payments. Review grant agreements, subrecipient agreements and contracts related to grant funding. Audit and analyzes transactions specific to grants to ensure accuracy and proper documentation and compliance with contract, grant guidelines, statutes, policies and procedures. Facilitates resolution of concerns related to financial and accounting discrepancies Coordinates with parties to resolves issues related to grants recipients and or
subrecipients payments. Review BCC agenda packets before meeting dates to identify any items that can affect
the processing and compliance of any programs. Track and follows agenda meetings to learn the Commission action plan. Any other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, management sciences or other
related fields. Minimum of two (2) years of in-depth experience working with CDBG/CDBG-DR or
related federal disaster recovery programs, specifically the monitoring and review or
project management of disaster recovery projects. Equivalent combination of education
and experience may be substituted. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe
Acrobat. Ability to learn, analyze, and understand complex documents such as tax returns, property
deeds, insurance, and other program-related documents. Demonstrated ability to review documents at a close level of detail and catch subtle
differences. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in multi-tasking, organizing and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in analyzing information and problem-solving. Preferred requirements 2+ years Xactimate experience as it relates to CDBG-DR construction, damage
assessments, cost estimates
