Grants Compliance Manager

Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking a Grant Compliance Manager to join our team for a significant rail tunnel project in the New York / New Jersey area. In this role, you will oversee compliance with all grant requirements, including financial reporting, allowable costs, and eligibility criteria as outlined by funding agencies.

Role Accountabilities:

Conduct regular reviews to ensure all project activities align with grant terms and conditions. Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports to grant agencies, detailing project progress, expenditures, and compliance status. Maintain thorough documentation of all grant-related transactions, decisions, and compliance actions for audit readiness. Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with approved budgets and grant guidelines, preventing misallocation of funds. Work with finance teams to ensure all project expenses are documented and meet grant requirements for reimbursable costs. Identify potential compliance risks related to grant requirements, such as unallowable costs or reporting errors. Implement corrective action plans to address any identified compliance issues and prevent future occurrences. Train project staff, contractors, and partners on grant compliance requirements to ensure awareness and adherence across teams. Act as a liaison with funding agencies and internal teams to address compliance questions, provide updates, and facilitate grant audits or reviews.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is a plus. Minimum 10 years experience administering a full funding grant agreement (FFGA) for large transit agency. 

Key Skills and Abilities: 

Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills. Proficiency in financial software, grant management systems, and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication, teamwork, and project management abilities.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
