OverviewSummary
This role supports the development and execution of strategic funding initiatives, research and identify grants and other third-party funding programs, and provide funding advice to SLED and Commercial account executives. This position supports C1’s SLED and Commercial sales teams to capture and drive grant and funding opportunities in conjunction with specific solution offers, identify grants and other sources of third-party funding to drive market opportunity, and assist in leading the growth of customer acquisition, retention, pipeline development, and revenue acceleration.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
Market Research – 30%
Works with Account Executives, Business Development Reps, strategic partners, product managers and other subject matter experts, to identify grant opportunities that will potentially fund C1 technology in targeted regions.Conducts market research and develops funding summaries to align C1 products and services to funding programs for targeted regions, states and customersMonitors the market for new grant programs.C1 Product Alignment – 20%
Develops regional, state, and account specific funding strategies to align C1 products and solutions to available grant programs.Account Level Analysis – 40%
Monitors the market for grants awarded/allocated in targeted region.Reviews and interprets grant guidelines, solicitations, and funding pre-qualification eligibility.Provides detailed account level identification and analysis for funding related programs.Provides backup coverage to other regions as neededMetrics and Reporting - 10%
Monitors and tracks performance metrics and metrics reporting​Participates in the development of new tools and procedures related to government funding initiatives QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Secondary School CertificateFluency in the English language (written and verbal)Prior Experience working with a US based companyin research, grants and proposal research a bonus, preferably in a high-tech environment
Experience driving revenue within a sales organization is a plusExperience working with US government-related programs or initiatives a plusStrong communication and listening skillsResearch skills to identify grants and other funding programsAnalytical skills to report, monitor and generate new metrics and reporting processesProactive self-starter with ability work entrepreneurially with minimal supervisionKnowledge of grants, foundations and other funding vehicles a plus
