Grants - Maintenance Technician

Position Description:

Barrick is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the closure team in Grants, New Mexico. 

Responsibilities:

Maintain groundwater restoration program Complete daily water system inspections including evaporation ponds, pumps, pipelines, and wells Provide weekly and monthly reports of readings  Install, maintain, and repair pipelines  Install, adjust, maintain, and repair well pumps Operate heavy equipment as necessary 

Qualifications:

Proven safety record required Basic maintenance skills required High school diploma or equivalent required Experience with water system maintenance and repair preferred Reverse Osmosis plant experience preferred Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required  Instrumentation experience a plus Ability to work in adverse weather conditions required Skilled in HDPE pipe cutting and position welding required  Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds required Must be able to stand for up to eight hours required Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces required Must be highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision required Excellent communication skills including verbal and written required Experience in Microsoft, Word, and Excel. preferred
