Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm | Must be available to work occasional nights/weekends as needed for event coverage and crisis communications

Job Summary: The Graphic Design and Brand Strategist develops and executes visual branding strategies that enhance the health system’s image and supports its marketing and communication goals. This role creates compelling graphic designs, manages brand consistency, and collaborates with various departments to ensure the visual identity aligns with Saint Francis Health System’s (SFHS) mission and values. The strategist plays a key role in shaping SFHS’s brand presence across all media and communication channels.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design and branding. Experience within a healthcare environment, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in graphic design software. Strong understanding of branding principles and visual communication. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information to a diverse audience.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with creative thinking. Working knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations. Working knowledge of production and printing process.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Ensures brand consistency across all visual materials and communication channels. Develops and maintains brand guidelines to ensure consistent application of the health system’s visual identity. Creates compelling graphic designs for various platforms including print, digital, social media, and internal communications. Manages the design process from concept to completion ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Provides creative direction and feedback to team members and external vendors as needed. Collaborates with internal stakeholders including marketing, communications, and clinical teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions. Coordinates with external agencies and vendors for specialized design projects. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of branding efforts and makes recommendations for improvement.

Decision Making: Independent judgement in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.  

Working Relationships: Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
