Graphic Design Intern

Heartland Food Products Group, owners of the Splenda brand, is looking to add a new Graphics Designer to our team to help us continue to grow our lineup of low-calorie, great tasting products. These include SPLENDA® Original, SPLENDA® Stevia, SPLENDA® Liquid Zero, SPLENDA® Creamers, and more.  The role will also work on Private Label packaging to support our retail customers.  


Splenda is the number one low-calorie sweetener brand in the U.S. and is loved and enjoyed by millions of Americans every day.  With over 9 billion packets of Splenda consumed every year, it is an iconic global brand, with our headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. This is a unique opportunity to put your mark on the business by elevating how the brand is presented to our consumers.  

 

This is on-site only in our Carmel, Indiana Clay Terrace office.

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our dynamic marketing and design team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, sharpen your skills, and gain hands-on experience with a globally recognized brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Assist in creating compelling visual assets for digital and print projects such as in-store promotional displays or internal content.Work with other interns to research and kick-off projects with the design teamCollaborate with the marketing and design team to explore creative concepts that align with the Splenda brand identity.Support packaging design initiatives, including mock-ups and layout adjustments.Help maintain and organize a digital asset library for easy accessibility and consistency.Stay up-to-date with design trends, offering fresh ideas to enhance our creative efforts.Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications Design. Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A passion for design and a curiosity for CPG brand development.Role is based in our Carmel, Indiana office (i.e. not a remote or work-from-home role)

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and interact with computers, telephone and other electronic media Must possess visual acuity to document company records Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
