Graphic Design Intern
SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR RISING COLLEGE SENIORS Are you a rising senior in college looking for a dynamic and meaningful summer experience? Our Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and make an impact within our organization. This paid internship is designed to provide real-world exposure, mentorship, and collaboration with peers, all while preparing you for the next step in your education or career. This role may or may not meet some or all of your school required criteria for an internship. Please share details in the application. PROGRAM OVERVIEW + Duration: June 16th through July 25th + Schedule: Monday through Friday (4 days of department work + 1 day dedicated to a group project) + Locations: Boston Office on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Remote on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays + Work hours: 8:30 - 5:00 pm + Compensation: $18.00 per hour WHAT YOU’LL DO + Departmental Work:  Interns will report to an executive within their chosen department and perform the work described in the relevant job description.  + Collaborative Group Project: Every Wednesday, interns will come together to collaborate on a group project addressing a real-world business challenge or opportunity for our company. This project will give you the chance to think creatively, develop teamwork skills, and showcase your ability to solve complex problems. + Final Presentation: On the last day of the internship program, interns will present their group project findings and recommendations to company leadership. This is your opportunity to demonstrate what you’ve learned and make a lasting impression on decision-makers within the organization. IMPORTANT DETAILS + We expect a robust response to this posting. Requirements YOUR TEAM OBJECTIVE As a Life is Good Graphic Design Intern, you’ll create compelling artwork that visually conveys the power and appeal of optimism across multi-channel marketing initiatives including eCommerce, Social Media, Wholesale, and more. You will gain meaningful work experience by immersing yourself in the collaborative environment of the Brand Marketing team, working alongside our talented designers and copywriters supporting team projects, while effectively completing and presenting an individual assignment conclusive of your skills and learnings gained from the internship. ESSENTIAL DUTIES + Complete individual assignments that support the design team and your own growth initiative. + Attend weekly group meetings providing meaningful design and strategy contributions. + Create visually appealing concepts that provide clear information and ideas that inspire our consumers. + Bring fresh ideas to the design team that are in-line with current trends and your own uniqueness. + Meet with designated manager to plan, conceptualize, and maintain follow-through on assigned projects. + Drafts designs and obtains approval by designated project leads. + Edits, revises and translates drafts into final designs and completes all deliverables in a timely manner. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS + A rising Senior currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design, with a focus or interest in marketing and the apparel industry. + Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and familiarity with the Adobe Suite. + Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) for organizing data and creating presentations. + A strong sense of composition, color, and typography. + A bonus if you have illustrative skills, video-editing, motion skills, and Figma experience, but not necessary PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES + You believe in Life is Good’s mission and values. + You have a passion for graphic design and the power of optimistic messaging. + You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team of creative professionals. + You welcome constructive feedback as well as expressing and presenting your own ideas thoughtfully and confidently. + You bring your own personal flare, while also keeping the integrity of Life is Good’s brand guidelines. + You are aware of the current design trends and events that could relate to Life is Good. + You are organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. + You practice strong time-management skills creating an effective workflow and follow-through, while maintaining a strong attention to detail. + You are eager to grow your design skills and enjoy working in a positive, collaborative workspace.
