Job Description

Program Summary:

The Corporate Internship Program at Great Wolf is a 10-week program lasting from June 3 - August 7, 2025. The program provides college students with paid, meaningful work experience that compliments their current coursework. Through an experiential and structured approach to learning, interns will gain hands-on experience with real-life work that is tied to the success of the team and Great Wolf's purpose of Bringing Joy to Families. In addition to meaningful assignments and working in a supportive business environment, students will be invited to participate in professional development opportunities, social activities to get to know fellow Pack Members and build relationships across other departments, and more. Students can expect regular mentorship and feedback to help develop the skills and experience that will position them to grow in their career area of choice. 


Internship Summary:

Great Wolf's Creative Services Team is looking for a student studying Graphic Design with education/training in creative content and consumer understanding. The ideal candidate should show samples of creating impactful visual design for brand design, promotion, wayfinding, video, and presentations for Great Wolf Lodge. We’re looking for a visual storyteller with the ability to deliver our brand identity and guidelines across a wide variety of projects, applications, and media types. With a collaborative spirit, the candidate will work with writers, fellow designers, and agency partners to help set the conceptual and visual skills and the drive to deliver breakthrough creative that shows how we bring joy to families.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program focused on graphic design or similar (rising Junior or Senior preferred)Unrestricted work authorization in the United States (sponsorship not provided)Willingness to work in a hybrid environment out of the downtown Chicago corporate officeAll employment offers contingent upon a successful background check


Desired Qualifications & Traits

GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 preferredPrior part-time, internship or work experience, preferred


Technical Skillset:

Comfortable using the Mac platform, as well as some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect (or similar).General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Up-to-date knowledge of widely used Internet-based services such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.


Design Skillset:

Range of student or real-life examples of design (Video skills a plus)Creating original design for promotion, identity, and in lodge communications that fall within brand standardsTake an idea from brainstorm to final production in print and digital


Work Style:

Collaborative and CoachableGood communication skillsCandidate will have exposure to 3rd party agencies including advertising/marketing agencies and Great Wolf marketing partners.

Estimated Salary Range

$21/hr (undergraduate) - $23/hr (graduate)

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
