As a Graphic Design Intern in Emory University’s Department of Communications and Marketing for Summer 2025, you’ll become part of a select intern cohort that will be immersed in the higher education communications experience. With the Creative Director's guidance, your role involves crafting impactful designs for print and digital, innovating social media visuals, and propelling the university's brand into new creative territories. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design engaging templates for social media, presentations, and digital content. Assist with branding efforts by learning university guidelines, fielding requests, and routing to appropriate team members. Effectively manage various projects against tight deadlines Contribute to Emory’s campus by helping organize memorable university events. Bring new ideas to the table during brainstorming sessions and contribute your fresh perspective to the creative direction of projects. Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunities, broadening your horizons and building your network. Collaborate on a campaign project from conception to execution.
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:
Available for 20 hours each week during the summer 2025 semester.Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above.Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.Strong relationship-building and client service skills.A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.A positive and professional attitude.Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).Experience using Adobe After Effects is a plus.NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
