Graphic Design & Video Production Specialist

LOCATION: DHQ - Phoenix

STATUS: FT/40hrs/wk (schedule may flex to meet department needs)

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires an ability to work with multiple departments and under minimal supervision:

AA technology/graphic arts degree required Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred A broad knowledge and experience with The Salvation Army or another Christian Church with similar doctrines, beliefs, and practices is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Strong background with Windows XP and/or Vista, and/or MAC Ability to work with other IT, graphic, multimedia, and web specialists when necessary Ability to communicate effectively with officers, staff, & employees on all levels Ability to work well under pressure, tight deadlines being sure to give attention to detail Efficiency required with the ability to multi-task Be pursuing or hold (at least) basic certification in graphic design & video editing Experienced in the following applications: Video editing i.e. (Premier Pro CC, Final Cut) and Desktop publishing i.e. (Creative Cloud Suite)

RESPONSIBILITIES

As requested by Divisional Headquarters department heads/staff:

Design, layout and printing of all in-house publications Design and produce all in-house multimedia clips Any other publication/multimedia duties as assigned. Be available to participate as assigned on special projects Be an active team member in the Program Department and contribute to planning and implementation of programs throughout the Division. Create Vector Artwork (logos, promotion media, et. al.) Photo Editing (image manipulation, color correction, et. al.) Desktop Publishing and typesetting (such as booklets, brochures) Large format printing and maintenance (banners, posters, etc.) High Production Printing (flyers, booklets, brochures) Create digital programs/web pages as requested/assigned All graphics and print media must adhere to The Salvation Army’s graphic standards. Shoot and edit videos (promotion, advertising, etc) Produce backgrounds for presentations Produce monthly/quarterly media resources for Corps and programs in the SW Division Produce quarterly Zoom or in-person workshops on media processes/ideas Maintain Divisional printing equipment Manage media software subscriptions Seasonal duties as necessary and assigned.
