The Opportunity
As a Graphic Designer at Catalina, you'll report to the Manager, Creative Services and play a key role in crafting innovative and impactful promotional graphics and coupons across digital and print media channels for diverse retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. Responsibilities
Accurately design, refine, and optimize graphics for a range of print and digital products using the Adobe applications InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Demonstrate consistent skill and understanding across the wide range of design styles utilized by Catalina's CPG and Retail clients.
Prioritize and adapt to various project timelines, meeting strict campaign deadlines.
Adhere to established processes for project and asset organization using Salesforce, SharePoint, and our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Engage in company meetings, weekly Creative Services team discussions to stay aligned with objectives and foster teamwork.
Share insights and knowledge in design labs, promoting skill enhancement within the team.
Actively seek and implement feedback from peers and leaders to continuously improve design quality and effectiveness.
Stay updated on the latest design trends within the US, focusing especially on the CPG and Retail industries.
Prioritize self-improvement and ongoing learning, driving consistent, high-quality output.
Provide design support for internal communications and perform additional duties as necessary to contribute to the team's and company's overall success.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional experience, ideally in fast-paced marketing or advertising.
A design portfolio that demonstrates comprehensive personal understanding of design principles of composition, typography, color theory, and overall creative proficiency.
Commitment to staying updated on design trends, especially in CPG and Retail, ensuring innovative design solutions.
Versatility in design styles with an ability to meet varying project timelines.
Aptitude for addressing design challenges innovatively.
Ability to convey and defend design concepts to non-designers.
Inclination to share ideas, ask questions, and embrace growth opportunities.
Exceptional organization ensuring process and project compliance.
High agility in adapting to evolving products and processes, swiftly applying new information.
Solid work ethic, consistently pushing for innovation.
Strategic problem-solving and critical thinking, driving creativity.
Strong written and verbal US English skills including grammar and composition for editing and proofreading.
Mastery of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Knowledge of best practices for producing and optimizing graphics.
Familiarity with cross-device design preferred.
