Are you a team player with a unique eye for design, self-motivated, resourceful, and ready to get to work in Charlotte? Do you like a collaborative environment focused on professional development? Join Kimley-Horn’s graphic design team in Charlotte, NC as a full-time summer intern and support our engineering and planning teams in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Our interns benefit from hands-on experience, technical training, and mentorship opportunities. As a valuable addition to our team, you will support developing document design/layout, presentation graphics, exhibits and renderings, custom print pieces, and more.

Qualifications In progress of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related major within the next 12-24 monthsWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator, Acrobat Pro)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) on Windows operating systemExcellent design and layout skillsWorking knowledge of typographyAbility to work in a team and collaborate with othersStrong attention to detail and dedication to professional qualityExceptional written and verbal communication skillsTravel (driving) to other offices within the region as needed
