Graphic Designer (Multimedia Focus)
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to support our international marketing team! We’re an industry-based organization passionate about what we do and the interpretation of our culture and vision through our brand interactions. We’re looking for someone whose design journey and expertise has a strong multi-media flair, bringing with them a strong portfolio of video, animation, shoot-direction, and project management skills. In this newly created role, we would be looking for someone that is excited by visual storytelling, has a high attention to detail, and is passionate about using design to drive company culture, brand engagement, and commercial wins.
Role OverviewYou will be joining a global marketing team that manages all facets of digital marketing, internal and external communications, lead generation, brand development, and multi-functional design – it’s a happening department and there is never a dull moment! Our design needs are very broad – you will be supporting creative direction across digital advertising and brand engagement, multiple international brand identities, event branding, customer proposals, signage and multi-discipline advertising initiatives, as well as a leading role in video creation and innovation. We guarantee that you will have your hands full!What you will doConceptualize and manage digital and printed design projects in collaboration with the other graphic designers and broader marketing teamBe design support for our multitude of brands and drive brand direction across social media and other advertising platformsStoryboard and present video concepts, as well as execute and design video-based marketing materialsHelp manage any photo & video shoots required to support marketing initiativesHelp manage external contractors & their project timelines, specifically any videographers and external video editors.Design advertising for retargeting, social media and other web-based campaignsDesign digital landing page imagery and digital assets for recruitment, sales campaigns and blogsPrinted design initiatives including brochures & flyers, trade show banners, vehicle wraps, uniforms and signageProvide design support for customer proposals, presentations and tender responsesAttend strategy sessions with marketing and communications leadershipCandidate ProfileExperience4+ years working in a commercial environment in a design role that includes both printed and digital design with multi-disciplinary marketing supportExperience with organizing & directing video shoots and creating video-based social content & marketing materialExperience owning brand guidelines, upholding a company’s “look and feel” whilst applying creative innovation to each independent projectExperience designing for web and social platformsExperience liaising with & giving feedback to external contractorsExperience with project management and managing project timelines (not only your own, but also of any contractors)Experience in managing and organizing a library of assets (video & photo)Experience in scoping & leading projects from start to finish (particularly projects that span across different departments)
SkillsLoves design! Strong flair in ideation & innovation.High level of proficiency in the use of the Adobe Suite; particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or Premiere ProSelf-starter, detail oriented, well organized, able to handle multiple projects at any given time and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentHas an innate creativity to conceptualize designs in accordance with our branding guidelines, whilst also possessing the technical graphic & multimedia skills to materialize themHave the ability to self-manage your time and projects from initiation through to completion, in addition to managing any external contractors in tandem, providing them clear timelines and deliverablesSkilled in working effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to eloquently present concepts and explain design approach and reasoningReceptive and appreciative of feedback, and enjoys a collaborative environmentExtremely strong organizational and time-management skills in workflow, deadline adherence and file organization is a mustVideo & motion graphics/animation experience is a must
