Graphics Coordinator

Performs, processes, maintains, and enhances all technical areas of the graphics field, including internal and external customer relationships, art files and designs, implementation of new and existing jobs, and product production. The position is also in charge of all graphic projects. Ensures the accuracy of press-side and customer approvals for the product(s) being produced for the customer in our plants.

 

Ensure customer's artwork aligns with press print capabilities and productivity requirements. Effectively coordinates and communicates with Customer Service, Sales and Production teams regarding new, improved or modified artwork, designs, and graphics Manage the processing of art orders through both internal and external partners, collaborating closely with Customer Service. Submit costs for artwork and plates to the customer. Provide purchase orders, detailed specifications, and art instructions via the plate vendor ‘s Portal System software. Proof-reading and compare the artwork against the original customer files, manufacturing specifications, and instructions before sending it to the customer for approval. Order ink color swatches on the actual material from internal or external ink departments for customer approval. Print, review and sign final stepped and color separation then review with mounting department to ensure the graphics layout accuracy. Completing production Release Package – color binder which includes a color binder with ink drawdowns and proof with unwind (#) information. Order printing plates and archive completed files, ensuring all forms and final specifications are included. Prepare artwork file for hand assembly of mock-up bag sample for customer approval, if requested. Maintain and update dyelines as needed (using Illustrator software). Ensuring all dielines are save in the Graphics folder on the server. Prepare, maintain, and document plate detraction information. \n

 Requirements:

• Technical degree in Graphic Design or minimum of five (5) years of experiences.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in packaging or printing field.

• Excellent skills with Macintosh Platform, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.

• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work within team environment.

* This is not a Graphics Designer position. The duties of this role are more closely aligned with a Customer Service representative.
