Job Summary
Engineering Business Services Technical Program Manager Client is seeking a technical program manager to join the Engineering Business Services team for 6 months with the ability to extend based on business need. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering Business Services.
Responsibilities
This strategic hands-on role will drive operational excellence and financial planning for the Product and Technology organization with a key focus on transitioning our on-premises data center to the Azure Cloud. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Business Services you will lead efforts to optimize cost management enhance decision-making through data insights and develop an end to end plan tied to our financials and contracts in shutting down our on premise data centers as we move our customer traffic to the Cloud.
Develop and manage the engineering annual operating budget and multi-year financial plans ensuring we are driving this down.
Align divisional budgets with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
Support strategic initiatives including the transition of the on-premises data center to Azure Cloud.
Provide detailed analysis of budget variances and trends highlighting risks and actionable insights.
Design advanced dashboards detailed project management plans and reports to track financial and operational progress as we close down our on prem data centers
Standardize processes for evaluating investment requests and ROI.
Enhance financial systems to improve accuracy transparency and efficiency.
Identify cost optimization opportunities particularly in cloud migration and infrastructure
expense management.
Monitor and report on financial trends to guide resource allocation.
Partner with engineering finance and product teams to provide financial and operational guidance.
Partner with our team of 2-3 strategic sourcing analysts on any contract extensions for our production environment while fostering professional growth and collaboration ensuring that we drive down operational costs for our production environment.
Summarize complex findings into compelling presentations and plans for senior leadership.
Conduct industry benchmark research or experience to drive competitive advantage.
Track and report regular progress on strategic initiatives big bets and organizational goals.
Certifications Required
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $119,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
