HSBC Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme
The Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme is a programme organised by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR for Hong Kong residents who have recently been awarded a bachelor’s degree or above. It aims to provide practical on-the-job work experience, mobility to work in the Greater Bay Area, and the opportunity to develop and grow a professional network.

As a participating organisation, HSBC will be offering roles within our key business areas across Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Foshan. Roles will be available in Commercial Banking, Wealth and Personal Banking, Digital Business Services and Global Functions.

For: Hong Kong residents aged between 18 to 29 who have sub-degree level or above from a recognised local or overseas higher education institutions
Duration: Eighteen months (Upon successful completion of the scheme, you will have the
opportunity to be considered for a permanent role at HSBC.)
Areas: Commercial Banking and Wealth and Personal Banking
Location: Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Foshan
Additional information: During the selection process, you will be asked to provide your areas ofpreference. HSBC will endeavour to match you with the most appropriate business area and roles.

What to expect?
Throughout your time at HSBC, you will be supported by experienced managers and a wide network of diverse colleagues in the region and around the world. You will undergo on-the-job training in a Greater Bay Area city for the full duration of your placement.

Learning, development and support
Over the course of the placement, you’ll gain experience and insight in the business area for which you are recruited. You will receive a combination of on-the-job practical experience, project-based work and functional exposure, and be encouraged to learn, ask questions, take on some responsibilities and develop your professional network.
Upon successful completion of the 18-month Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme, you’ll have the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role at HSBC.
