Golf Greenskeeper / Turf Care Opportunities

This is a full-time seasonal position, starting April 1st and May 1st 2025 and ending in October 2025.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course is Audubon-certified and carved right into the slopes of the coastal mountain range. Working in the Golf Grounds department, the Groundskeeper team's high attention to detail ensures golf course maintenance is completed to exceed our golfers’ expectations.

At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Senior Groundskeeper & Junior Groundskeeper roles are available for the Summer 2025 Golf season.

Starting rate of pay: $19.95 per hour (Junior Groundskeeper) / $21.00 (Senior Groundskeeper)

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.60 for a Junior Groundskeeper, and $27.00 for a Senior Groundskeeper.

Job Duties Include:

Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service Cutting grass with a wide variety of self-propelled and push type machinesGeneral landscaping, hand-mowing and weed-eating dutiesMaintaining cleanliness and neatness of the Golf Course area, including cart paths, fairways, greens, roughs and teesSmoothing bunker sand with hand rakes and machinesSetting the golf course for playLabor intensive work in the form of digging, lifting and pushing
Qualifications
Experience working in Golf course turf care is an asset but not requiredClass 5 Driver’s LicenseUpdated driver’s abstract Perform tasks under minimal supervisionKnowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance workUnderstanding of the rules of golfAbility to work well both independently and as part of a team
