Greenville Machine Operator Weekend Shift
Job Description SummaryThe Greenville Machine Operator is a skilled role that involves the manufacturing of complex engine components, working with exotic aerospace alloys on some of the latest CNC machine tools in a clean, air-conditioned facility. Successful candidates will participate in a self-directed team environment to identify and implement process improvement opportunities resulting in improved quality and product flow.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Perform set-ups, tool changes, offsets, and run production on various CNC and non-CNC machinesIdentify and implement process improvement opportunities to include reduction of setup times and improvements in quality and throughput utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniquesMust perform precision work to exacting tolerancesRead and understand process operation sheets, tooling sheets, tech plans and associated documentsWork from blue prints and work instructions to produce partsHave the ability to correctly gauge parts and record dimensionsChange and reset toolingSuccessfully complete applicable special processes and operator certification requirementsUse measuring equipment, such as micrometers, caliper and gaugesUnderstand Part Process Flow (incoming/outgoing)Perform preventive maintenance checksBe an active contributing member of a high performance, self-directed work team with minimum supervisionPerform tasks that require manual dexterity Complete all required compliance trainingIn order to perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the majority of the shift and work in a high production environmentShift Times:4th (Weekend Day):        7am-7:12pm, Fri-Sun5th (Weekend Nights)     7pm-7:12am, Fri-Sun

Qualifications / Requirements

High School diploma or GEDA minimum of 1 year of full time manufacturing experience with manual or Computer Numerical Controlled machining using milling, turning, lasering and grinding processes orAn associate’s degree or higher in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (for example, Computer Integrated Machining or Engineering Technology) including graduation from any recognized machinist or toolmaker apprenticeship or certification programMust be willing to work Weekend ShiftMust successfully complete pre-employment physical/drug screen and on-going random drug screens

Desired Characteristics:

The ability to work from layouts and dimensions on drawings and read manual gaugesThe ability to load, align, and set up machine per drawing instructions and maintain quality production recordsThe ability to read blueprints and be able to read shop math and have proficient knowledge of machining methods and cutting toolsStrong computer skills are preferredMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hats, and safety shoes)

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
