The Greeter acts as a receptionist at the entrance desks and promotes a customer service focus at all times while greeting our customers. The Greeter will evaluate the location within the hospital or facility that the customer will be visiting, and will provide a visitor badge for the customer to wear while on campus.

Responsibilities

Greeter
* Providing accurate instructions and directions and escorting as appropriate within our policies.

* Appropriately vetting visitor destination within the hospital and providing visitor badging.

* Referring visitor issues to security for de-escalation and resolving issues, working toward full resolution for all our customers.

* Greets and assists visitors in a professional helpful manner and arrange for volunteers to escort visitors when needed.

* Screening and greeting people arriving at our entry doors, and directing them as appropriate.

* Able to use and understand the computer and the various computer programs for patient tracking.


 
Reporting and Documentation
* Logging adult patient visitors, providing all visitors with a badge according to policy.

* Communicating with Security, Volunteers, and Spiritual Care teams in order to best serve our customers.


 
Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* Completes annual mandatory education, age-related and competency assessment modules in the specified time frame (minimum 20 hours annually for RNs).

* Maintains confidentiality of all patient or employee records and information and follows hospital and department policies and procedures.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

* Maintains required Certifications/Licensures/Registrations (document expiration dates).

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
