The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Greeter (Seasonal) Shore House to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

\nShift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
\nPay Rate: The [pay rate for this role is $16.50 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

Position Summary:
\nProjects professionalism and a positive attitude while efficiently and courteously assisting our Shore House guests. Must be able to handle and process guests’ requests and exceed their expectations while providing them with personalized services and accurate information.
\n\nOpen car doors for both arriving and departing guests. Extend a warm welcome, a pleasant day and/or a fond farewell depending on circumstance. \nAttend to all aspects of the arrival process; welcoming guests, unload, handle and deliver luggage and orient guests to their assigned accommodations as required. \nSecure luggage as required.\nOperate golf carts as needed in a safe and efficient manner.\nMaintain an orderly arrival and departure experience by keeping driveway traffic flowing.\nDirect valet parking attendants to service opportunities.\nInitiate transition of guest from the welcome at the front drive to the host for check-in.\nAssist with hailing taxis and/or Del shuttles for the transportation of our guests.\nMust know how to drive manual transmission\nDrive guest vehicles\nProvide directions as required and requested. \nMaintain an attentive and pleasant atmosphere.\nCommunicate clearly and concisely with owners, guests, peers and members of the management team.\nCheck daily activity board in order to be aware of special needs of our guests along with arrival and departure time of our guests.\nMaintain cleanliness standards and proper care of all supplies and equipment.\nAdhere to department and hotel procedures and policies\nProvide assistance to all hotel departments as required.\nAdhere to guidelines established in the Hotel del Coronado Associate Handbook.\nPerform additional tasks as requested by members of the leadership team.\n\nReporting to the Shore House Supervisor, The Shore House Greeter is the welcoming agent to coordinate a friendly and smooth arrival and departure of each Shore House guest. The Shore House Greeter is a property ambassador and assists in crafting a curated experience for our guests while supporting all team members in executing the highest level of service while creating “Del Memories”

\n\nMinimum Education: High School Diploma or GED\nMinimum Years of Experience: Two years of hospitality experience required\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide directions, prioritize tasks, solve problems, execute under pressure, and follow through as required.\nMust have a valid driver's license and provide a DMV printout with a clean driving record.\nMust be friendly, outgoing, self-motivated, attentive to detail and capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks and responsibilities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications
