Job Title: Grinder Primary Responsibility: As a Grinder, you will be preparing surfaces for a variety of coatings to obtain a high-grade coat or special type of finish. You will be shaping, smoothing, and sharpening different types of materials such as metal. Major Duties: 1. Set up and adjust grinding machines according to job specifications 2. Inspect finished parts 3. Ensure surface finishes and tolerances meet customer or blueprint requirements 4. Understand blueprints, drawings, or job orders Preferred Experience/Special Notes: * Requires the ability to follow demonstrated instructions * Requires physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for use of small hand tools * Previous grinding experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment * Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings * Ability to stand for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects
